First in LED back-lit mirrors from HiB

For the first time HiB have introduced back-lit illuminated mirrors with an LED light source. This gives the user the benefit of a sharp and clear reflection and additional light for the bathroom while having the vital added advantage of a steam-free surface.

So with this technology, HiB who are leaders in bathroom mirror technology, have produced 3 mirrors that break new ground in clarity and low energy LED illumination.

All three mirrors are IP44 rated for bathroom installation and, as a range, offer a great choice of size and configuration.

Vercelli is a portrait mirror with vertical patterned LED arrangements on each side. Lucca is also a portrait configuration but with a more conventional vertical placing of the LED lights while Larino offers the width of a landscape style with each corner framed by the LED illumination.

HiB introduce cabinets with style and performance

Cosmic Cabinet

On this occasion it is two stand out aluminium cabinets – Cosmic and Orbital.
The sleek aluminium finish is a strong current trend that blends elegance with engineering. But, apart from the eye-catching design, these two cabinets come with a host of added-extras.

Both cabinets have a steam free, double sided mirrored doors. They also come with an internal shaver socket and a sensor switch for operating the light. Orbital has an LED overlight while Cosmic’s illumination is back-lit on the external mirror surface. Importantly LED offers a low energy source of excellent light.

Naturally both cabinets are IP44 rated for safe bathroom use and have adjustable internal glass shelving so each user can optimize their storage.

Both cabinets are 50cm wide, 70cm high and have a depth of 15.5cm.

Star among stars of new products on the HiB stand at KBB were the new Optical and Focal mirrors with the clever height adjustable magnifying mirror which is magnetically mounted with a delicate felt covered disc directly onto the main mirror surface.

The beauty about this clever design from HiB is that it is a mirror that suits the exact purpose of the user at the time, no matter his or her height. The high definition clarity of the movable magnifying element is ideal for close shaving, or meticulous make-up application. The main surface of the mirror gives a full and clear panoramic reflection and is elegantly finished with a bevelled edge.
Optical is the portrait version – 70cm high and 50cm wide while Focal is a landscape format with a height of 60cm and width of 80cm.
Both mirrors can be fitted with an optional heated pad, preventing condensation in a steamy bathroom.

HiB at KBB – brilliant ideas

The showstopper at KBB – the product that had the aisles clogging up – were the great new Focal and Optical Mirrors on the outside of the HiB stand.

With a height adjustable and detachable magnifying mirror, mounted on a gentle felt-covered magnet, positioning for personal usage becomes simple – a brilliant idea. But this display was just the gateway to a stand bristling with new products, ideas and innovations – enough to warrant the publication of an 8-page, full colour new products brochure as a guide to the stand.
Another major feature on the stand was LED lighting with the launch of a Range of new Shower and Ceiling Lights. The others were steam-free mirrors in Back-lit and LED designs, and also Steam-Free Aluminium Cabinets. These were shown with an impressive set of features and size/shape choices. HiB had a special demonstration using a steam generator to show just how effectively the steam-free elements worked.
A further undoubted highlight on the stand came from the Solo Cloakroom Furniture Collection – with a NEW Compact Corner Unit with a stylish eye-shaped hand basin mounted on a quadrant-shaped cabinet with glossy brilliant white curved doors with soft-close hinges.
Finally seen for the first time was the all-New Range of Ventilation Fans with high-tech features including, timers, humidity sensors and, in some cases, ultra-quiet operation and illuminated designs. A clever display also demonstrated the ease with which the fans can be either wall or ceiling mounted and how the air transfer is made to the house exterior using HiB supplied accessory kits.
MD. Warren Ginsberg says that the show had been an unqualified success with the reaction to their new products surpassing their most optimistic expectations. “There is a feeling of positivity out there with visitors appreciating any product that can offer them additional value, practical advantage and differentiation.”

2012 is off to a big start for leading bathroom products supplier HiB as they launch two new mirror designs that offer simplicity of style yet excellent performance at a very affordable price point.

Casey mirror

Skye and Casey are both fluorescent illuminated mirrors using a back-lit light source that gives a clear light across the mirror surface. On both mirrors the lights are activated via a sensor switch.
Importantly, both mirrors have integral heated mirror pads to avoid condensation misting up the surface when the bathroom is steamy. They are also both low-energy, eco-friendly products that conform to IP44 standards.
The Skye mirror is surrounded by an elegant contoured back frame .

Location…kitchen…location!

Some elements to successfully building and selling houses are fundamental. We all know about location but how often do developers concentrate on kitchens?
More and more, especially with open plan living, the kitchen is the hub of the home. Leading house builders Croudace Portland specified Stoneham kitchens for their highly successful Westways development at Bickley Park Road, Kent.

The homes ranged from £1.2m to £1.7m and all sold successfully within a remarkably short space of time. Stoneham’s expert contracts division designed and installed their celebrated Strata kitchen furniture selected for its versatility. For instance various finishes were available to Croudace architects – American Oak, American Black Walnut and Wild Cherry. These were complimented with black mirror door features and matching utility furniture. The internal fittings and systems were of world class quality and the latest AEG appliances were supplied including double fridge freezers for each plot. Granite worktops in various finishes were supplied by Stoneham including Indian Black Pearl, Nero Assulto and Kashmir White.

Smart storage ideas – Blum

World leaders in kitchen fittings and storage systems – Blum – have conducted intensive research into the use of kitchens and best use of the volume of the kitchen cabinet.

Cloakroom perfect from HiB

From bathroom accessory suppliers, HiB, come two new compact but elegant basins in the lustrous Mineral Marble.

Wall hung Delta Basin

Delta (40cm) and Swirl (50cm) are available as either wall hung, with attractive chrome rails, or fitted to storage. HiB’s latest designer furniture Solo, is designed to work with the two basins, giving an attractive, all-in-one solution.

Delta and Swirl are another two new products to emerge from HiB, showing once again the attention to detail that bathroom retailers have come to expect from them. These attractive, short-projection basins will add a sense of style to any cloakroom or small bathroom.

Both basins are finished in a high quality gel coat. Delta has a height of 10cm and depth of 22cm, Swirl has a height of 25cm and depth of 25cm.
