The Dutch company Boere is known worldwide as the pioneer and technical leaders in the concept of wide belt sanding technology. Started 60 years ago, J. Boere Machinery & Equipment Factory B.V. remains a family owned concern that now exports its high quality products and technologies to over 46 countries from their modern Waddinxveen factory near Amsterdam.

Boere sanders are known, above all else, for their exceptional reliability. But it is also the company’s ability and willingness to address each, individual customer’s requirements as a separate solution that has built them such an enduring and loyal international market.

“Perfection in Sanding” is Boere’s motto and they strive to achieve this with every machine installed.

The Boere range extends from small, stand alone edge sanders to compact widebelt machines for craftsman work, right through to industrial fixed-height top and bottom sanding lines for in-line installations.

The majority of their machines are designed to work with wood and wood-based materials – calibrating, pre-sanding finish sanding, veneer sanding, denibbing and lacquer sanding. A modular system of heavy-duty machine frames supports a variety of units and combination s to achieve the required results comprising solid and rubber rollers, as well as solid or electronic segmented pads.

Boere have also been the most successful manufacturer in applying their specialist technology to other areas – metal sanding, plastics and rubber, leather, insulation foam and vegetable fibre boards, carpet cleaning, scaffold plank restoration ..... even skimming CD surfaces!

Boere’s UK sales and service subsidiary is headed by Geoff Pitcher who has recently been joined by Dennis Ward to assist with sales. Over 600 Boere machines currently operate successfully in the UK alone.
